I have a patch of gray hair in the front part of my hairline. A co-worker commented, "Oh, I didn't know you had gray hair!!!!" in front of everyone. This makes me want to get rid of it more!!! I just got a relaxer friday, so I will be ready to color in a couple of days. Please help!!!

Dayum...

Sorry no advice...

I've been using henna to cover my grey because I'm scared of temporary dyes. The henna works just fine and I don't worry about it reacting poorly when I relax.

Hi Marie - you would want to get the Body Art Quality Henna ...check out this site...www.hennaforhair.com - it has a wealth of information with regards to Henna and those that use Henna to cover gray. It lasts longer than a rinse/semi permanent color and you are not subjected to the chemicals in permanent color - it has conditioning qualities as well...

ETA: Also visit www.hennasooq.com - the owner is a member and you can email her (email address on the above website) and responds quickly - she is very sweet and informative

I used to be a henna head...I've since gone back to rinses.

The one that seems to last the longest with the best gray coverage (to me) is KISS Express. It did wonders on my grays...color is still clinging on after about 4 weeks, and I co wash 4x a week. :look:

That is a good rinse - Marie, I see that you are in Houston, if you happen to try this rinse (I actually did a thread on it) let me know and I can tell you where u can buy it.

Do you know if it has ppd in it?

I need to henna too because I got some grays sprouting since I started using the MT again

My Cellophanes are washing out so quickly wiith my DCs, it makes the color run...

I say henna, I just started using it and it covered my grays after the third application and I will just need to reapply every 4-6 weeks. It is the best and safest way to cover my greys

Yes, I would love to know where I can purchase it. Thanks!!

I need help too. Are you all addding the Indigo to the henna?
Where can I purchase Kiss?

I don't like the comment the coworker said.....especially in front of people. I'm curious to know what her/his hair looks like :look: ? Anyway, Colorshowers covers the gray. I live in NY so I get it at a BSS but you can probably order it from one of the online stores that sells Dominican products.

I am picking up the KISS express color tonight! Any color suggestions. I want a dark brown color, not black. I'm thinking the Darkest Brown or Dark Warm Brown. Thanks!!!

KISS didn't work well for me, just colored my scalp. I am researching henna and indigo now.
