Which brand name of coconut oil is best to use??? do any of you ladies use extra virgin kind????

Den 1,
You always have the best threads. I swear Im sitting here with 2 ponytails, air drying, thinking " I should have put some oil on before it dried". But I find that when I put Sta sof Fro, it takes longer to dry.
How about something from the Protectiv line or does anyone use Olive Oil cream? I cant think of the brand, but it is a very light hair cream, it is green and comes in a green jar. The same company makes Carrot cream also.
I use to use it when I was relaxed, it was good.

I know most people here say that the extra virgin/unrefined Coconut Oil is the best...but I use Dabur Anmol brand...and haven't had any problems with it drying my hair out. It's not expensive...and I think it's pretty good stuff. I'm going to try Virgin Oil de Coco-Crème from http://www.natureswildchild.com soon since so many people here recommend it. I hear it smells really good.

Thanks, i think i'll purchase the Extra virgin kind, i had problems with dryness when adding coconut oil to my hair years ago.

WGO or extra virgin coconut oil. I got mine from Puritan's Pride. I'm pretty sure they're running their buy 1, get 2 free special right now. Their coconut oil smells just like fresh coconuts. Yummy.

I could see jojoba oil working well, also.

Thanks Tai, most ladies here love coconut oil, i'm going to purchase wgo too, i ran out of mine a few months ago and forgot to repurchase, I remember it made my natural hair so silky and nice /images/graemlins/grin.gif.

I like Nubian Silk Stimulating Growth Oil and it does not have a smell like WGO.

yeah i can't stand the smell of wgo, but when i started using it in 2002 my hair grew out fast.

Avocado and Castor oil mixed. Castor oil sticks to my ends like glue /images/graemlins/up.gif, but it's too heavy for me to use alone. It's probably a 3:1 ratio.
