alrighty then, i guess i'll be the first to share...lol!!
after finding myself having an o.o.c (out of cash) experience i had to get creative. that and the fact i can never find the time to get to the store when i do have money. so this is what i've come up with.
Oil Conconction--olive oil, coconut oil, wgo, proclaim 7 in a spray bottle. This one is a result of almost running out of the latter 2. It actually works better than using them alone. REALLY moisturizing--and surpisingly light!!
Leave In--Smooth n' Shine Leave In and Aphogee Leave In--by themselves nothing special, but together WOW!!
but my best concoction comes from using BOTH of my concoctions together!! Hair drys really moisturized be it air dried OR rollerset.
Eventually i think i may incorporate rosmary oil into the oil one. But for now, if it ain't broke...
Now I know there are more of you kitchen chemists out there!!!
To use up all the stuff I have bought as a potential PJ, I've been mixing the following in a spray bottle. I bought three bottles of this mixture with me to Brazil to moisturize with daily because by the time I get home I will be 8 weeks post relaxer. It has been working really well. (*** the measurements are estimates)
2TBS Salerm 21
2TBS NTM Leave in Con
2TBS S-Curl
4TBS Profectiv Damage free
1/8 cup EVOO
Distilled Water
I have been using a mixture of the following for my weekly deep conditioning:
Motions CPR
Salerm 21
NTM Leave in Con
Aphogee 2 minute reconstructor
Coconut Milk
EVOO
Honey
Ingredients:
Rosemary EO (2 drops)
Lavendar EO (2 drops)
Peppermint EO (2 drops)
Sweet Almond Oil (3 tps.)
Apply to scalp with a dropper to evenly distribute and message scalp. I have a tingle sensation out of this world and the peppermint gives my scalp that cool fresh feel.
Noxema (up to you)
Peppermint EO (2 drops)
Sugar (just a sprinkle)
Message in a circular motion on entire face and neck. Remember to sprinkle the sugar on last so it wont dissolve. The texture of the sugar exfoliates, the noxema cleanses, and the peppermint EO leaves me with the tingle and cool feel. Great for waking your self up in the morning!

Hair and skin moisturizer & seal in
Water
Shea Butter (up to you)
Sweet Almond Oil (2 tbs)
Whip the shea butter with whisks and put in freezer until white crust starts to form. Take out and whip with big spoon. Add sweet almond oil. This gives my unrefined shea butter a more whippier consistancy and while the shea butter and water moisturizes the sweet almond oil seals it in.
I only recently made my absolute favorite concoction! And that's shealoe butter! I took 3 tablespoons of refined shea butter and 4 tablespoons of aloe vera gel - whipped together. I use this instead of gel to smooth my hair for ponytails. It works amazingly well and doesn't leave my hair hard but soft, smooth and extremely moisturized.
My other concoction is using grapeseed oil as a base, I add some drops of rosemary eo, peppermint eo, and ylang ylang eo. I apply to my front edges before bed.
I also have a lavendar spray mix that I like. It is distilled water with about 15 drops of lavender eo and half a teaspoon of glycerin. I sometimes spray this on my hair after work to keep it moisturized.
My conditioning/softening mix I use nightly is made up of about 2 dallops of Suave Awapuhi, 2 dallops of V05 Strawberries n' Cream, a teaspoon or two of oil (any kind), and rosemary eo.
My latest favorite is adding fragrance to my unscented coconut oil. I have added coconut fragrance oil to make a coconut smelling coconut oil. I've also added pear, peach, and green apple fragrance oils for a wonderfuly fresh fruity scented coconut oil. I don't make too much. Jut enough to last a few days so I can try other scents.
I just recently started mixing 1 Egg-2tbs castor oil,1tbs
vinegar and 1tbs of glycerin to help thicken up my hair.
I saw this on a site and decided I would try it my stands are difinitely strong and texture seem different.
I like to mix an egg in my shampoo. Also if I have a conditioner that is running low, I add olive oil and a couple of drops of peppermint oil and use it as a deep conditioner. Also to detangle, I put conditioner, water, and a couple of drops of Africa's best oil in a spray bottle. Q

I've heard nothing but good things about Shea Butter...so Im caving. I'm going to purchase a pound from Natures Wild Child...and try this shealoe recipe out! Thanks for sharing. /images/graemlins/up.gif
I usually don't oil my scalp, but I recently decided to do so. I wanted a concoction that was light and didn't have a heavy smell. I recently bought a tube of Nexxus' Biotin creme - I like what it does, but I don't like the texture. I also had a bottle of Elucence's Protective Barrier Balm. I mixed the two together and WOW!!!!! Very light, nice scent and it spreads so well - doesn't feel gummy at all.
