I got a curly weave this weekend and some of my real hair is out in the front, I had purchased s curl gel but that does not seem to work. What do I use to lay the hair flat and blend it in. I look a mess this morning cause I did not know what to do with the piece so I pinned it to the side, it does not look right, I think I was getting funny stares on the train. Please tell me what gel is best so I can go get some on my break.

Do some flat twists tonight when you get home and put a scarf on it, in the morning loosen and it will blend very nicely in. I really don't think gel on its own (without styling) will help unless your hair type is the same as the weave? In which case everyone seems to swear by the Ecostyler gel - I use IC Fantasia gel (the green one with Olive oil)

My favorite is Africa's Best Gel with olive oil. I tried lots of different brands including IC but none of the others did it for me. Africa's Best has great hold, it smells nice and it will not flake. IC would flake and develop an odor after a few days. Black gel was way to hard, it would flake and it smells bad. I tried tons of others and they were either greasy, oily, hard, flake, etc...
Goodluck.

ic brown gel is amazing to lay hair flat, wet your hair, or do your usual moisture process then use it on top, with a denman brush it is amazing. just dont use shea butter with it as it does not mix with gel

hth xx

does not flake and keeps the hair firm till you take it out, and so easy to rinse out too does not give that glue look or feel either

Put the Ecosyler gel on top of your S curl gel activator. Your hair should have hold and won't get hard. It will also stay moisturized.

I have 6 gels in my house Brown Gels, Eco Styler, Proclaim. I also have Designer touch and Jam, Dove, and Ampro clear gel.

I like Proclaim and EcoStyler for styles that need more control, I like the others except jam for light control.

Depending on the curliness of the weave and ur hair, u can either use ecostyler alone, ecostyler and a denman, cantu shea butter conditioning leave-in, or flat twist ur hair using conditioner or one of the above...The options are endless...also check out youtube for blending tips....muffinismylover has great blending tips on youtube...Good lick :)
