For my hair, it does well at smoothing it out and detangling. JLove has been using it a lot longer than I have, and she's posted some very good reviews on it here at the LHCF.alundra said:Allandra, is the smooth infusion line just really good for detangling? Or how does it work?
I've never tried the emollient. However, this is the best serum I've ever used.divinefavor said:Aveda Damage Remedy...I've been using it for a little over a year and it has dramatically changed the health of my hair.
I've only used the Smooth Fusion Line twice, so the verdict is still out on this one.
Allandra has me wanting to purchase the smoothing fluid now.
Allandra, do you think the smoothing fluid is better than the Emollient?
ChocalateDiva said:I just purchased the Damage Remedy Line from the Mall @ Green Hills yesterday. For the price..........this stuff better be da sh*t!!! I almost hyperventilated when she gave me the total!! The directions for the Treatment say to leave it on 3-5 minutes............is it okay to leave it on with heat for 30 minutes?
TIA.

Smooth Infusion- I purchased the S I shampoo & conditioner as soon as it came out and my hair was super easy to detangle (I'm 100% natural) and my ends were even smoother than when I use the DR. But I always use the DR when I'm going to use heat in my hair.
Brillant Line- The poo & cond. are my least favorite now compared to the DR and the SI; they are no match when it comes to providing moisture, slip, and detangling compared to the other two lines.
Now the Brillant line styling products are Excellent for keeping my hair straighter longer and provind body and shine and a feeling of weightless- ness to my hair. My staples are: Universal Styling Creme, Damage Control (excellent for providing heat protection when blow drying my hair), Emollient Finishing Gloss (for pressing), Anti-humectant Pomade (for pressing my edges; It's the one in the white jar.) And the Humectant Pomade (in blue jar) for when I do braidouts.
My other Aveda staples are: Light Elements Smoothing Fluid (excellent for pressing my hair) it's a lighter version than the Emollient Fnishing Gloss, the Light Elements Reviving Mist- I use when my hait is natural and I want to keep it moisturized; I just spray it on. The Flax Seed Aloe Sculpturing Gel, I use for my braidouts; The Hang Straight straightening lotion, I use for blow drying my hair, (it's lighter than the USC). And the Phomollient Styling Foam, I use for when I roller set my hair.
