Were there any specific things you had on hand when you BC'd? I plan on having a wig on hand....in case I don't like it along with the essentials like poo, condish, and gel. Did you have anything else?
Trimming shears...and NOT kitchen, craft, or utility scissors. (pet peeve)
Other than that...I think you are good...don't forget the shea butter or other essential oils for moisture! Good luck!
also, have some pretty head bands, or hair accessories to play in after the bc. have fun.
After my bc, my hair was 3-4 inches and I played in the mirror with my head bands and hair barrettes, experimented with products to enhance my curls (beyond the zone noodle head. I liked it. cantu shea butter - hated it) and took hair pics curly and wet, and blown out. It was nothing serious, just having fun and getting used to my new short and natural hair. It started me off with a great attitude and confidence about my "new" hair.
For me I used conditioner, shears and clippers. I did have wigs on hand but they were all half wigs that couldn't wear anymore with a TWA. I didn't think about that before cutting.
The next day I went to purchase products and hair accessories. I haven't worn any of the accessories. I found that I don't like headbands, bows and flowers on MY twa. Makes me look too juvenile... anyway I've digressed.
Hair sheers, a couple of styling products (or more... ), your favorite oil, brush, wide tooth comb, clips, accessories, and maybe a friend to help your take pics and gush over it about.
Sounds like you have the right stuff. My advice is not to over-cut, err on the side of caution. I thought that because the ends I was seeing weren't kinky, that it was relaxed ends....nope, that was my natural hair. So I lost 1-2 inches in the front half of my head.
