I saw him (author of Why Are Black Women Losing Their Hair?) today at a convention and he was telling some women that he would love to do her hair because of the soft texture.Yeah right! This woman's head was straight tore up! Nothing soft about that mess!

In business, you always compliment the potential client to establish rapport and get them to warm up to you and relax alittle. I guess he's just being a business man

I saw him yesterday also. He wasn't really interested in talking with people who had healty hair. Only those with "jacked up" hair. He did say that the consumer or holistic line would be out in January and it would include a leave-in conditioner.

Yes, it is important to be a good business man but don't down right lie. That is the problem with the hair care industry. They have been lying to black women for too long. That is why so many heads look like they do. Telling someone that their hair looks great when it is unhealthy defiantly isn't the right way to go. I am personally a business women and there are ways to warm up without lying. Besides, what if that girl didn't take any of his advice or buy his produces (don't know if they are good or not). She is probably walking around thinking that her hair looks great while the same time she is destroying it.

There's no money in it. And the client would probably know more than he does!

After his book came out I e-mailed his customer service and asked for the ingredients of two products I was interested in ordering (No ingredients were listed on the site at the time). They replied, "The ingredients are listed on the product labels."

I don't know how his hiring practices are, but one day I decided I wanted to go to his salon since he's so into healthy hair. I called to make an appointment and I asked the receptionist if I could come in on a certain day she said she didn't know asked for my telephone # and never called me back to say yay or nay! So, I'll never go to his shop!
