How do you guys do your bantu knots? I want to give it a go this weekend to wear for atleast a week.

What products do u use? Do u have any tips, have you got pics i can see? Too many questions i know lol.

TIA

Oh another question, how long does it normally take u? I think i will wash my hair tonight - so i'll have most of the day tomorrow.

I have tried them on both wet and dry hair, and I think the dry set suits me better although I like to have bantus as an airdried alternative to braidouts.

For the dry set: A few days after my roller set started looking flat, I just just took about 2 inch sections of hair (after moisturizing with NTM silk touch leave-in) and twisted the whole thing around itself into a single stretched strand. Then, starting from the scalp, I twisted the hair into a 'cinnamon roll' shape and pinned the ends to my roots. I did this all over my head... didn't even bother parting the sections b/c once you take them out it won't look any different. I wrapped my hair in a satin scarf and slept on it, then took down the knots and fingercombed in the morning. Here is the result of this set:

For the wet set: I shampooed and conditioned as usual, and applied my leave in. On top of that, I applied avocado butter, which I always do with ANY airdried style. The rest of the process is the same as above. Here is the result of this set:

Thanks! And it really is as easy as it looks and sounds. I hope it works out for you:yep: Maybe some other people will chime in, b/c I know I'm not the only one who does bantus around here!
