You're basically twisting a section of hair in one direction, until it begins to coil down on itself into a bun. Like so
 
Bantus take some practice... don't be surprised if it doesn't come out the way you want the very first time. :look: The first time I did it, I :love: the result. Every time after that has been a HAM :lachen:
 
I LOVE LOVE LOVE bantu knots... make sure you do them on mostly dry hair though, when done on wet hair it takes FOREVER to dry.
 
so basically they're little buns all over your head??
