do any of u guys wear them?
i have been wearing them lately, and i find them to be a great alternative to bands...they are loose and donot snag the hair...and guess what..no hair comes out when u take it off...not one!!!

I don't but I was thinking of picking some up because my hair is short and I saw a woman on the train the other day with one and she had short hair and I was thinking, wow that looks like a simple, neat style.

let me tell yall...it is the bomb if u wear it right, it does not have to look granny like.......i will post some pics 2morrow.....it is my new accesory!!

Bannana clips are making its round for a second time. My experience, 10 years ago, was that with constant use, it creates tension in the kitchen area of your hair. Becareful, b/c at the end of summer you may find that the hair in your kitchen has broken off. -- I am sure occasional use is ok.

I bought a few claws last week, and I'm LOVING them

!

I got some pics of them in my Turkey Album, I have loads of different colours but never wear them, they are very good in that they help the hair to show its true length and fullnesss.

Banana clips give the illusion that your hair is in a ponytail and that it's really long. I've had banana clips for years, but my hair is to thick to get one on. I remember on NY Undercover Lauren Velez always wore banana clips in her hair.

I had that same experience. I remember wearing them all the time in the 5th grade and breaking the hair at the nape of my neck. But I was so clueless about hair health that I'm sure it was super dry and like anything, misused and over-used!! I may revisit, but I don't think all of my hair would fit unless it was straightened.

I'll give it a try b/c I need to find something safe to put in my hair. And I haven't found anything safe that will show my length and fullness in a ponytail.

Is the 'claw' the same thing as a banana clip? I thought a claw was a hair clip (w/spring).

Oh thank you much asummertyme. Now I remember. I know where I can find it. But do you know you still OWE us info for your highlites ? They are awsome. Don't make me travel to NY this week-end just for that..

hmmm...now I might have to buy some of these, I was reluctant to before bc I thought they were straight out of the 80s when I was little, lol...but I think they make the hair look fuller and longer than when just pulled back in a regular ponytail.

Yeah, I still have a bunch of these from when they were really popular years ago!! I haven't worn them in quite a while... I didn't think they were still "in style" but I do occasionally see people wearing them.

They definitely make your hair appear longer & thicker than it really is!!

My daughter used to love them for that reason.

YES the way i wear mine is i put my hair in one as if i were putting in a band but i then put the bannana clip in, so its never tight...actually it feels really good, and no hair loss at all.not one.......

i went to the dominicans, told them i wanted hilites, and picked out a blond color, the out a cap on myhead with holes in it, and u pick the hair out of the holes witha crochet like needle...and color....it was fairly quick and easy, i think i could have done it myself...i paid 45 bucks, including a deep condition.......sooo...i say go 4 it girl if your hair is a good condition...i love it.......
