I was wondering if any relaxed heads band? I do a lot of braid outs and airdrying and I see the wave patterns that naturals get from banding and I was wondering if it would work similarly for a relaxed head?

No, it won't work.
The point of banding for natural hair is to stretch it and give a uniform texture. Relaxed heads don't have texture to stretch or homogenize, so banding doesn't do anything but give you dents, much like what happens if you ponytail your hair when it's wet and let it dry.
You'd honestly be better off doing a regular braidout or knot out using bigger sections of hair.
