Ok I'm gonna answer even though I'm in braids cause I wear a plastic cap under my satin scarf at night. When on bun challenge its castor & evoo. While in braids its Worlds of Curls mixed with evoo on legnth of braids.

How do you keep it from spilling onto your pillow at night or soaking though the satin cap?

Re: Baggie Methoders.... What\'s in Your BAGGIE today?

Do you saturate them or just apply a little more of your blend than you would to the length of your hair?

Re: Baggie Methoders.... What\'s in Your BAGGIE today?

Coconut oil, castor oil, lavender oil, peppermint oil, and jojoba oil. I love mixing oils together. My hair has really benefited from this process.

Re: Baggie Methoders.... What\'s in Your BAGGIE today?

Lanelle: I put the mix the evoo and worlds of curls in my hands and run my hands down the legnth of my braids. Then I slightly twist my braids up and put the plastic cap over my head. I then tie on my satin scarf and I'm done. When I get up in the morning my braids are moisturized and I go out the door. I repeat the process when I come in for the night. I've never had a problem with anything leaking or spilling because I don't over do it. I never have a problem with breakage when I take my braids out.

[/ QUOTE ] How much oil are you using? Are your ends typically well oiled or oily when you put them in the baggy?

I use 5 drops of each oil. I apply the baggie to a dry ponytail this is my preference. My hair will absorb all of the oil. I do not get hardly any breakage. Some ladies do apply their oils to a wet ponytail, too.

Re: Baggie Methoders.... What\'s in Your BAGGIE today?

Thanks LT! That's probably close to the amount I used. I was thinking everyone else might be swimming in oil. How long have you used this method?

Re: Baggie Methoders.... What\'s in Your BAGGIE today?

Not doing one today, but when I do, it's my homemade DEW(castor, serum and coconut oil). /images/graemlins/up.gif

I started the baggie method in May of this year. I have been persistent with it ever since. I even put the baggie on after I do my touch up.

Re: Baggie Methoders.... What\'s in Your BAGGIE today?

Sengs has gone Baggie Wild!!!! LOL!
Okay..I'm about to throw mine back on, just took my bobby pin down. I have slapped some Softee Coconut and Castor Oil on mine.

*Insert Law and Order ding-ding sound here...*

Re: Baggie Methoders.... What\'s in Your BAGGIE today?

@Mo: /images/graemlins/laugh.gif **ding-ding** /images/graemlins/laugh.gif Girl, I have. I love it. I can't wait to take my hair down and put it right back up. My ends are fine when air dried but when I flat iron they act crazy, so I know they are inherently dry and heating implements zap them. So maybe this will re-energize them. I am so amped about this method. Now the Mister hasn't see this mess, so I'm ready for him to give me the /images/graemlins/nuts.gif look all evening /images/graemlins/laugh.gif .

@LT: /images/graemlins/shocked.gif That's committment! I'm going to try to go for the next 3 months and wear my hair w/o it maybe once a month. Maybe I'll stop seeing those short hair on my shower wall. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Re: Baggie Methoders.... What\'s in Your BAGGIE today?

I hear ya Sengs. My ends are fine when I air dry but act up when I flatiron...all crinkly and messed up looking. This definitely helped me. You get pretty dedicated to doing it too. Last week I went out for my Bday as soon as I got home about 1am I was in the bathroom sticking it back in the baggie. /images/graemlins/look.gif /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Re: Baggie Methoders.... What\'s in Your BAGGIE today?

Sengschick, your ends will love you for it. My hair is in excellent shape now thanks to the baggie method. Retaining alot of length. I do it without phonies.

Re: Baggie Methoders.... What\'s in Your BAGGIE today?

Blue Magie Hair Grease

Oh and Thomas1 I also do it without the baggie also...ghee I thought that I was the only one. /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Re: Baggie Methoders.... What\'s in Your BAGGIE today?

Elasta QP recovery and vaseline on the ends.

Re: Baggie Methoders.... What\'s in Your BAGGIE today?

Olive oil, coconut oil and jojoba oil. I just got one dern problem. My bun baggie looks terrible. I just cant get it to look nice and neat like adrienne's. I'll keep trying though. Anybody else having troubles or is it just me?

Re: Baggie Methoders.... What\'s in Your BAGGIE today?

I'm getting better each time I put mine on HLD. I put my hair up in a scrunchie, add my products, and twirl it around. I roll my baggie down a little(like a turtleneck) and place it over my 'stub'. I put the stub in a side of a bag and I hold it on and wind it around snugly.

Then I have this big rubberband that I criss cross a couple of times over the baggie to hold it on my 'stub'. I put my phonytail on and I'm out the door.

Re: Baggie Methoders.... What\'s in Your BAGGIE today?

Whenever I decide to do the baggie method, I will use my mixture of oils (tea tree, jojoba, carrot, aloe vera, olive) and S-Curl No Drip Activator&Moisturizer! /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks Kombov, the only thing is that I opted not to use a ponytail. I just cant make myself wear a fake ponytail. I'd rather do the bun thing. It just looks real sorry right now.I'll keep trying though. Practice does make perfect /images/graemlins/spinning.gif.
