I've added coconut oil to my regimen. I discovered that on this board. I seal my ends with it every night. I have retained a lot more growth! I henna with just coconut milk but that coconut oil seals your ends AND it's a great heat protectant.

After I henna I use it as a hot oil treatment, and sometimes I saturate my hair and sleep in it. I have tossed or given away all of my deep conditioners. I don't use cones anymore either. It kills the frizzies too.

Wow. I need to give coconut oil another try!

When you find a good hairstylist, you just gotta keep em' close. I go to a Black American salon and my stylist is Jamaican who does my hair exactly the way that I want it.
