Hi Everyone!
Ok, here is my story. I have been a member for years, but never really took hair care serious, regardless of hair boards. I have lurked and admired, "ooohed" and "aaahed".
I do have relaxed hair, BUT, my last relaxer was Dec. 23, 2007! Yep, you guessed it, I am transitioning. There are ALOT of lovely relaxed ladies on this board, but it is just not for me. My hair snaps and breaks, plus there are years of undone damage from overprocessing and overlapping. Every stylist has tried and tried to get my my hair bone straight AND permed BEYOND my new growth, but the wave pattern remains the same! The result: swollen, splitting ends. I have a THICK, DENSE, BIRDS NEST on my head right now, lol, but it is more healthy with more elasticity and softness.
I have cut 4 + inches off, thanks to my mom trimming when I ask. I get tired of detangling and taming this wild beast, but it will be worth the while in the long run. I have learned that product and technique are the key. NO, WAIT, I AM STILL LEARNING!
Sorry I don't have any older pics, lol, you aren't missing anything anyway but damage!
Yayyyyy me! I posted! Hope to see you girls in future post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
