Oh man, I used a shiakai bar and I loved it the first time. But now, I can't seem to get it all out of my hair. I bought some suave daily clarifying shampoo and tried that but it still didn't come out and my hair is coming out when I "try" to detangle it is the shower. Can someone help me before I go bald please??

When I use ayurvedic powder anything I co wash/rinse or use oil if I have enough melted which I usually don't.

I saturate my hair with cheapy con, massage gently with my finger then rinse and rinse and rinse and rinse. My last henna was really grainy so I actually laid in the tub with my head in the water and got it out with my fingers, then showered. Messy but effective.

I don't understand. What about the bar stays in your hair? Do you pre-oil before using your bar? This is an important step and should not be skipped.

I remember some good advice a member gave here.

1. prepoo your hair
2.Wash w/the bar
3.Wash w/a reg shampoo
4.Condt hair
5.DC

and she said she never had any problems like hair being tangled or stuck 2gether.
Hopes this helps

Passionfruit: Thank you for the advice, I will definetly try it.

Rosesblack: I tried putting my hair in the tub but to no avail. It did take some of the stuff out though.

MedMunky: That must be it, I have amla oil but didn't know I had to use it if I was using a bar so that is definetly the cause of my troubles. The stuff that was left was red little soft balls and my roots became stuck together. Terribly.

Halimah: Wow you still use regular shampoo with the bar?!?! I haven't done that either, thank you.

ITA with Medmunky on the oiling before applying the shikakai bar pooing. You might consider heating some coconut and evoo oil together, add a liberal amount of deep moisturizing conditioner (pantene R/N hair conditioning mask works well) and DC for about 30 - 45 minutes as well. I hope you are able to solve this problem.
