Ok, so ayuredic haircare is simply NOT for me, as been discovered. Not only that, but I can't seem to even be able to GIVE these powders and oils away much less recover my money by selling them to someone else:wallbash: So, I just wanted to know if any of you knew of any other uses for this stuff.

One person suggested that I add them to my condish for a dc, but they've been very drying to my hair (no matter how diluted they are) so I don't know if I should try that.

Any suggestions:scratchch

What do you have? Depending on what it is, I'd certainly take them off of your hands!

I have 2 - unopened boxes of powder (Hesh Amla and Shikakai), 2 - opened boxes of powder (the same powders only used ONCE), and 2 - opened bottles of MAHABHRINGARAJ and BHRINGARAJ oil (still relatively full and only used ONCE).

I have hesh amla and shikakai powder they were too drying for my hair but I love how thick they make my ends. So I take two tablespoons of Amla one tablespoon of Shikakai mix them with ORS and I have the best of both worlds the thickness that I want and semi moisturized hair. If your hair is still not as soft as you want you could follow up with your favorite moisturizing conditioner...Sometimes I follow up with honeysuckle rose for really soft hair.

I mix 1-2 teaspoons with a moisturizing condish like Tresemme or Suave Humectant. I also add a little coconut oil and/or EVOO. I also follow up with a good moisturizing DC.

*Also, try adding Fenugreek powder for added softness and slip*

I did a amla and brahmi mix. 1 tsp of each. The amla was too drying and made my hair hard. Next time I will use 1/2 tsp. of amla and 1 tsp of brahmi. You can also use 1 tsp of brahmi mixed with condish. I use suave humectress.

Ladies, dryness, I can deal with but my hair began to shed and break after the first treatment and I don't have enough hair yet to calmly watch go down the drain. But I can say that my hair felt a LOT better once I co-washed it a few days later and the shedding/breakage appeared to stop.

Today, I am 20 weeks post relaxer and will be bowling kats over after work to get to the salon for a touch-up. I pray that all goes well, but I am really, EVEN MORE uncertain about continuing the use of these products on my freshly relaxed hair. Any suggestions?
