Hey everyone...I've decided to put away the flat irons for a while and wear my hair in it's natural state. Can some reccomend a good starter shampoo and conditioner for me? I like in the middle of nowhere and the nearest store to me is Kmart so I have limited resources as to what I can get. Please help me! Thanks!

Pantene Hydrating Curls works really well and it's easy to find and inexpensive. Give that a shot!

Thank you so much Nesha  Ive been having a terrible time these past two weeks and you ladies really know how to lift a girls Spirits up. Thank you :)

And I concur with so1913 pantene hydrating curls. It is an awesome conditioner to start with. Its very cheap and provides major slip...well at least for me it does. I dont use shampoo that often but when I do i use Cream of Nature to help detangle :)

Thanks ladies! I just picked up the conditioner. I also got Pantene curl defining scrunching gel, and Frizz Ease Dream Curls...Did I make the wrong move on these products or are they pretty decent?

You never know until you try!

I haven't used either of the two. The only other Pantene product I use is the Frizz Control Leave In Treatment. Other than that, I use Asha's Silk Rose and maybe a natural pomade or lotion for added moisture and shine. Depends on how I feel in the morning =D

Do you ladies find that the Pantene Hydrating Curls works better than the Smooth and Sleek? I've been on the S&S for a while b/c they sell the great big bottle at Costco, but if the HC works better for curlies I'll gladly switch. :)

I just picked up the conditioner like my inspiration suggested. It works okay, but I think it's too soon too tell. My problem so far has been dryness. I have a pretty cute puff, but my hair is SO THICK it dries out and I loose some of the curl pattern in the top of the poof. Tell me more about this poo you use. Do you know of any other stores that carry it?

well i dont use the shampoo just the conditioner....and if it doesnt work for you take it back and try something else. lustrasilk aloe vera cholesterol is great to for co washes...and cheaper than the pantene :) the key is to just keep your receipts and if you find something stick with it. i was returning products like it wasnt nuthing  the thick creamy conditioners are perfect on my hair.

@ayanna i dont know. the ingredients between the SS and the Curls are pretty much the same. so i actually dont know what makes it more different between the two. Try it and see :D
