i have recently had my color & highlights touched-up last week, & i felt like i wanted to do something a little extra in the moisture department (since i haven't colored in 5mos)...just to make sure that my relaxed hair stays healthy. i  my La Bomba products (the rinse & deep conditioner), but i decided to try to add avocado & EVOO to my deep conditioner to see if it would make it even better, since i have heard so many great things about these natural ingredients. i made my conditioner cocktail, sat under the dryer for 30min, rinsed w/cool water...all i can say is WOW! after my 3z-ish/4a hair dried, it was shiny, soft, silky, & and strong. my wash & go wasn't frizzy & instead i had more defined waves & loose curls w/o having to use as much leave-in as i normally do. the immediate difference was amazing:eek:. i can't believe that i didn't try this sooner. This is definitely going to be my new staple during the cooler, drier months. Much thanks to all of the wise EVOO & avocado advocates on this forum. my double processed hair is forever in your debt:D

Thanks for letting me rave!

ps-i've looked up other avocado hair mask recipes & some of them recommend using organic yogurt, too...does anyone know the benefits of this?

also, i have a lot of powdered MSM left over that i've decided not to keep in my vitamin regimen, can i add it my conditioner and use it topically instead(i saw that Qhemet has it listed as one of their ingredients)? if so, how effective is it?

TIA!

nope, i just used a plain old avocado. i put it in the blender with my conditioner & some EVOO. i still can't believe something so simple, works so well. no wonder why a lot of ladies on this forum make their own hair products. i guess i've got some catching up to do!
