I have some Sap Moss shampoo and serum that I am thinking about returning for the DR line. I don't have the receipt. Do I have to have the receipt to return/exchange products?

"Terry", you should be okay. The store that I go to always encourages me to 'try' the product and to bring it back if I don't like it. If you are making an 'exchange' for another Aveda product, you shouldn't have any problems. I would see a 'challenge' if you wanted a 'refund.'

Let us know how you make out.

Oh! "Terry", call the store and alert them ahead of time that you are coming into the store to make a product exchange but you don't have your receipt. Take the name of the person you speak with and ask for her when you visit the store. This way, you've cleared the path ahead of time.

No, I don't think they will take it back. Unless the sales associate remember who you are, and that's a strong IF!

They don't take it back without the receipts because there are so many counterfit Aveda products out there, they are just trying to be cautious.

i would say they will not take it back just because what if it was purchased off of ebay or something. then that would allow returns at full price when someone may have only paid half for it.

Aveda has a great return policy! Trust me -- I've used it lots of times lol. Now if you don't have the receipt you will just get a store credit.

A couple months ago, I returned some Aveda products that I had bought 6 months prior to the day I returned it. Luckily I still had the receipt, and I got my $53.53 back.

I did call before I left to ask the sales lady if they took back purchases that were made many months ago. I think she responded with something along the lines of "do you have your receipt?" kind of thing.
