They have a new line out. I just logged onto the website and their new line is called "Smooth Infusion" All I see is a shampoo and conditioner. Both have the following description:

"Daily cleansing smooths and softens hair up to 60%.

• Moisturizes and reduces frizz
• Exclusive plant infusion—a blend derived from organic aloe, maize and guar bean—creates a smooth new surface on hair
• Significantly reduces frizz and unwanted wave, helps prevent flyaways
• Protects against surface damage from heat styling
•Babassu-derived cleansing system softens hair with a luxurious lather"

Anyone seen or tried yet??? (sorry if this has been posted)

This looks yummy!

Good time to try it - From May 11 - 13 they are having a double points event in the stores!

Double points...Wow!! Do you have to have some type of membership card for the double points? Dang, I was planning on swinging by Aveda this week. I'm not sure if my pjism can wait until the 11th. I am looking for moisturizing line (moisturizes and leaves my hair bouncy) to alternate with DR. I wonder if this Smooth Fusion line is mositurizing.

*in my best pacino voice* "Just when I thought I was, they pull me back in"

It looks great. I GOTTA get my hands on that.

:lachen: sorry PJs!

I went into Aveda today (won't say how much I spent lol) and totally forgot to ask for samples of the Smooth Infusion. I tend to go in there and grab what I need so I don't end up looking at other stuff and buy it lol.

Next time I go I'm going to ask for samples of the shampoo and conditioner. If anyone gets it, please post a review :)

You have to sign up for their Pure Privilege program. They give you a free gift (trial size shampure shampoo, conditioner, and hand and foot lotion) and a temporary card until your real card comes in the mail. For everything you buy you get points and then you can redeem points for all kinds of Aveda stuff like products, candles, handbags and so much more. You can read about it on their website :D

Thanks girl, I just read it on the website. I'll go on my lunch break tomorrow to the Salon where I normally buy my Aveda products to see if I can sign up in there.

This was in an email I got a few days ago:

Hmm... I asked about that and was quickly told it was best for Asian hair types--which is coarse and straight. The main poster has a picture of an Asian woman. I wonder though...:scratchch

I was wondering about this when I did see the poster of the Asian woman on the front. I just thought they were showing how well the product works on the hair. I'll do some investigating on my own as well.

I thought they were just showing smooth hair to rep the product too. I figure it will work on any hair type just like most of their products. They just might be trying to cover all bases and came out with something they can push toward Asian ladies to widen the demographic.
