My hair (7 months post relaxer) is very dull looking. Right now, it looks like a "dirty" black. I used to keep a jet black rinse in it when I use to perm my hair which seemed to help it appear to have more shine. I'm looking for a very gentle rinse that won't change the texture of my hair like so many of them seem to do. I'm already dealing with the challenge of 7 months of new growth. I don't need any additonal hair battles. 
A friend of mine suggested Aveda Black Malva Shampoo. She said it would darken my hair without the use of harsh dyes. Has anyone used Aveda Black Malva Shampoo? If so, how did you like it? Also can you suggest a gentle rinse?
