This says it is a reconstructor? I do not see any proetein listed in it.. Has anyone used this and if so do I need to follow up with a moisturizing conditioner?

I have natural 4a/4b hair and Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Deeeeeeep was a prime staple of mine. I couldn't imagine going without it. It's an awesome detangler and left my hair feeling supple and moisturized.

All of that is in the past tense because I don't think they make it anymore. Aussie has all new packaging now and the only thing I've seen is the regular 3MM.

I love Aussie Moist conditioner and it's been a staple for over 2 years now.

It works more like a moisturizing conditioner for me. I really like this stuff, especially when my hair just needs something quick.

When I was using this, my hair was shedding like crazy! As soon as I stopped, so did the shedding. When I saw the name of this thread, I kinda cringed. :ohwell:

It had absolutely no effect on my hair other than the shedding. I spoke with someone from Beauty Brands, and she told me that Aussie (and other lines like it) tend to not moisturize the hair like one would expect it to. She said that these "cheaper" products contain a lot of fillers, like wax. So, I guess that is why it never did anything good for my hair, but that's just me. :look:

To FINALLY answer your question, I always follow protein (reconstructors of any sort) with moisture.

I use the Generic version from Sally's and I love it. It usually makes my hair feel moisturized and detangled. But I still follow with a moisturizing conditioner.

Aussie still has this product but it's no longer labeled as a reconstructor but instead as a "moisture treatment." It has glutamic acid which is a silk amino acid (I think) but in no way hardcore protein.

I use the Original 3 Minute Miracle and love it. They both come in purple bottles. Here is a side by side comparison of ingriedients:

DEEEEP:

Water , Stearyl Alcohol , Cyclopentasiloxane , Cetyl Alcohol , Dimethicone , Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine , Glutamic Acid , Fragrance , Benzyl Alcohol , EDTA , Methylchloroisothiazolinone , Methylisothiazolinone , Ecklonia Radiata Extract Australian Sea Kelp Extract , Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract , Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil Jojoba

Orginal 3 Minute Miracle: (Love this)

Water, Cetrimonium Chloride, Cetyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG 12 Distearate, Foeniculum Vulgare Fruit Extract (Fennel), Humulus Lupulus Extract (Hops), Melissa Officinalis Leaf Extract (Balm Mint Extract), Achillea Millefolium Extract (Yarrow Extract), Hydrolyzed Casein, Avena Sativa Kernel Flour (Oat), Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil (Jojoba), Chamomilla Recuita Flower Extract (Matricaria), Yeast Extract, Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil (Sunflower), Aloe Barbadensis Flower Extract, Carthamus Tinctorius Seed Oil (Safflower), Simethicone, Stearyl Alcohol, Lechitin, Sorbitol, Glycerin, Glycol Stearate, Acetamide MEA, Cetrimonium Bromide, Sodium Lauriminodipropionate, Fragrance, Dicetyldimonium Chloride, Stearalkonium Chloride, Phosphoric Acid, Propylene Glycol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Tetrasodium EDTA, DMDM Hydantoin, Yellow 6

Okay, mine must be the Generic version of the Original 3MM because these are the exact ingredients of the one I have. Anyway, this is pretty good stuff, definitely a staple for me.

I gots it bad. :ohwell:

I have the 3minute miracle deeep and love it. It makes my hair soft yet gives it the strength it needs. i had no idea that it was d/c'd. If I see others I'll be sure to stock up.

If anyone likes Aussie 3 Minute Miracle DEEEEEP I found it at my local Target today for $1.24 (it was in a special pack w/ free scrunch hair spray). I had a $1 coupon so it came to 24 cents. They had a lot of Aussie products- shampoos, conditioners, mousse, and scrunch spray at the same price.

I bought this and used it once. It did nothing for me, it's supposed to be just for moisture, not protein.
