A Whole Foods Store just opened near me and they sell the Aubrey's and Jason's products. I have heard good things about these products, but I was wondering about the scent. Is the scent strong and what do the shampoos and conditioners smell like? :)

hmmm... the conditioner's don't smell so good to me... they work pretty well and are all natural (yay!)... but they smell like floor wax...floor cleaner... kinda reminds me of a nursing home :ohwell:

To me its pretty strong.. but you don't smell it after you rinse it out... see if you can unscrew one of the caps... and sniff it yourself :) .

I use it anyways ...and just make sure that the next product I put in (usually leave-in) smells good :) .

They all smell different. Some I like, some I don't. I use Honeysuckle rose conditioner and I like the way it smells.

I know a lot of people used to complain about the scent of GPB before they changed the formula. I never smelled the old one, but I really like the new one. It is pretty strong though.

The Island Naturals conditioner is really good but smells a lot like noxzema (the smell is not as strong as noxzema).

The Honeysuckle rose shampoo and conditioner smell like honeysuckle. The shampoo also has a "natural soap" smell.

The White Camellia conditioner smells heavily of geranium oil. I never liked the smell of geranium essential oil, but the conditioner works so well its worth the smell. The shampoo just has that natural soap smell. I cannot detect the smell of any of the oils listed in the ingredients.

The GPB conditioner has a pleasant, strong smell. My nose can only detect the balsam, but it doesn't just smell like balsam.

Since you will be buying from Whole Foods, check to see if they have some of the bottles set up as testers. If not try the testers of the essential oils I mentioned.

Other than the GPB, none of the above have a strong smell after the hair is dry, but (the first day you wash/condition) people around you can smell them if they are standing right by you.

Thanks so much for the responses guys! I was asking becuase the Whole Foods did not have testers and all the bottles were sealed. I think I will try out a few products. Thanks again! :)
