Hey Sherry, thanks so much for your quick response!!! I thought you and your long, beautiful hair when I purchased this today, lol. I didn't add oils (I guess it's not too late to do so) and I can't leave it in all night, but I'll leave it on as long as I can since I have plans for the evening. Thanks! Also, this is a protein treatment, right? Do I need to follow with a moisturizing conditioner, or is using it by itself good enough? Thanks! :)

aubrey is a light protein that is very moisturizing... i never follow with a moisturizer because my hair comes out sooooo soft...a lot of the ladies here do not use a moisturizer afterwards...i also occasionally mix it with AO's honeysuckle rose conditioner which is very moisturizing....

Cincysweetie, please be careful with the product you bought! I am concerned that it may be counterfeit since it has no instructions written on it. Something is wrong -- the instructions should be there. Did you buy it from a place where it can be returned?

The new formulation of GPB gives instructions for using it before shampooing (for deep conditioning) and after shampooing for lighter conditioning. The old version only had instructions for using after shampooing.

Renee... I bought this from a health food store where I buy many of my organic products and natural oils. They have a wide selection of hair care products including Nature's Gate and J/A/S/O/N products (I think that's the correct name). I was in there a few weeks ago to buy some of the GPB and they were out of it, but they let me look through their AO's catalogue and point out what I was looking for. I checked the bottle again and there are no instructions...which is kinda strange.

The product I have comes in a white bottle with green writing and a silver flower/plant on the front. The back does have a product description, features & benefits chart, directions to shake well before using, a claim that the product is non-vegan, and a list of ingredients. The bottom says there has been no animal testing, the product is biodegradable, and the bottle is recyclable. Finally, there is the AO company address and a website. Is this similar to you all's bottles?

Cincy, I hope I did not alarm you too much. I was just worried when I read that there were no instructions on your bottle. I hope someone will post that they have had a similar situation and the product was fine. How does your hair feel now after using it?

The description you gave of the bottle sounds good from what I remember. I am out of GPB right now, though, so I'm sorry that I don't have a bottle to look at and compare.

Renee, thanks for raising that issue. I did find it a little weird that it did not have instructions for use on the bottle. I'm going to give the company a call tomorrow just to be sure. My hair felt decent after using it, but I just threw it up in a bun. The true test will be when I use it and rollerset or something like that. Also, I need to try it prior to shampooing, I did it as a deep condition after shampooing this time. Thanks again for the concern, it is something I will look into further.
