My beloved Jilbere flat iron died last night from unknown causes. It was a peaceful death as there was no noticible suffering.

But seriously, I didn't even have the thing for 6 months yet and it just stopped heating up. I tried plugging it into different sockets but nothing happened. It stayed ice cold. Too late for a return. I'm not sure what happened as it worked 2, 3 weeks ago when I last used it but now I have an excuse to buy the smaller one

I hope you have better success with the sm one. 6 months is not a good thing. Did you check you warranty from Jibere?

On a serious note though, a rep at Sally's told me that they were under direct orders from Jilbere to take the large flat irons back if anyone wants to return them. Apparently, a lot of people have had problems with them, so if you got yours at a Sally's, take a chance and bring it back. I have the small Jilbere and so far so good.
