Hello ladies! I'm new to the forum. I have a question...what can I do about breakage in the front of my hair, and in the center of the back of my head? For some reason, my hair breaks off in these two places only, but consistently. Here's some information about me: I have 3A type hair all over. I have a relaxer that is well-maintained. I don't take any supplements for my hair currently (but if you know any good brands please let me know), and I moisturize my hair with mink oil three times a week. Thanks in advance.

Welcome Sultana!

You may need to provide more information. How do you typically wear your hair? What products do you use to maintain your hair? How often do you relax? What type of relaxer do you use? Would you define your hair as having fine strands? Is your hair consistently 3a or do you possibly have other type as well (maybe in those two areas)? How often do you shampoo and how often do you condition?

i also have breakage in the back of my head (the crown area). i ended up cutting out all of my relaxer, going natural, and then relaxing it again with a different relaxer. I used Elasta instead of Affirm. I then started to do a protein treatment every week (Either affirm 5-in-1 or Aubrey's GPB) and I don't have any breakage anymore. i'm not saying you have to cut your hair off. You may just need to do a preotein treatment every week and follow up with a good moisturizing conditioner. What type of relaxer do you use? What conditioners do you use? Do you wrap your hair at night?

can you provide more info? such as how do you wear your hair...
tight ponytails can cause breakage in the back and along the front hair line when pulled back real tight. i also had breakage in the back because my hair was rubbing against my head rest in my car(which is now covered with satin)...it could be a number of things
