Thanks ladies. I wouldn't mind if someone had a shop in their home.

I'd like to get a wash, condition, my hair dried under a hooded dryer, NOT a blow dryer w/comb attachment, press and curl.

There's a salon out here that does that, but they charge upwards of $150 and the wait is crazy.

Other salons don't want to hear anything about not using their blow dryer w/the comb attachment. Just figured if there was a like minded stylist on this board, then she/he would be open to what I'm looking for, without my having to go thru a lot of hassle.

My main issue is that I don't want the blow dryer w/comb attachment used on my hair.

Yodie - after you said "no Blow Dryers" List got really Short....

There are 3 salons that I know of in the Valley...But I am almost 100% sure that they would not do a "johnson & Guess" Job.

HairStars - Near Cal State Northridge...they Blow Dry....on Parthenia and Lindley
8666 Lindley Northridge, CA 91325 818-304-2654 ... I went there to get cornrows - they were done well...But Watch out..... There is a persian woman there who is the Shampoo/ blowdry person. Does not have a CLUE about our hair.

Salon818 - On Sherman Way in Canoga Park - I only went in there one for flat iron....4 years ago...I did not let her do anything but flat iron. She was not there long. She got fired for never showing up.....

Then there is a BSS on Vanowen and Etiwanda - They have a stylist in the Back....Never been there.

This is why I have ALL the salon stuff at home. Nobody even believes in rollersets any more. I just have my own salon at home.

You may have better luck with dominican salons. There is one in Sun Valley.

Heck - I should start chargin' for rollersets...
