Hey ya'll. I have to do this car show and there is this hairstyle they want all of the models to have. I mean, it's a pretty simple hairstlye, but when they had a stylist do our hair hair as a rehearsal, i HATED how my hair looked compared to everyone elses. Of course im the only black girl and my hair wasn't as long as everyone elses and i just hated it...so...i just want to add maybe 3 tracks to my hair, just for a week! Everyone always says they are soooo horrible, but why? I had them before, when i took them out i had none of my hair come along with it, but that was only for one day 3 years ago. Has anyone had any bad experiences with glue in tracks? And please share anyway i can wear them and not tear my hair out, because i don't want this temporary style to set me back on all the progress i have made :ohwell: . I'm sooooo nervous!

Be very careful! When taking out the tracks you may lose quite a bit of hair where the track hits the hair. If it's only like a one time thing you might risk it but BE CAREFUL!

I agree.

And i wouldnt keep them in too long. When i used to wear bonded tracks, i notice that after a week or so the track would start to slip onto the hair. I just made sure to use TONS and TONS of oil and sheen spray when removing the track. I would just keep oiling the jont up until it literally slipped of the scalp. But even so, some of the glue would still be stuck in my hair, and i'd have to VERY carefully remove that, with oil and a fine-tooth comb..... i would usually end up losing some strands, no matter how careful i was.

But anyway..... i dont think it will hurt you too much if you do it just ONE time. Good luck! :)

Man... i was BALD in the temples, BALD.GIRL dont do it. RUNNNNNNNNNNN in the other direction RUNN FAST

I agree with this post!!!!! Wear a wig or something. When I was relaxed and wanted more length I would get someone to sew a couple of very thin cornrows and sew like 3 pieces in. Worked like a charm! Don't do because it might not pull out your hair THIS time but it'll be easy to convince yourself that it's okay NEXT time.:perplexed

DITTOOOOO!!!!!! :ohwell:

The glue will pull your hair out if you don't get it all out your hair. Why don't you clip in a few extensions in the back of your hair? There's a few ladies here who do that. I know RabiaElaine does. That or get a half wig/fall. You can get a synthetic one for 19.99 and just wear it for that weekend.
