Are clippers okay for OUR hair?

I am looking into purchasing one of these: http://www.creaclip.com/

For when I do trims. I usually use shears, but it doesn't seem like using this clip has good results with shears, but based upon all of the videos I have watched, using the electric clippers does a really good job. My question is, can we, as black women use clippers on our ends? For some reason, I just feel like if we did, it would jack them up. I could definitely be wrong, but just thought I'd ask since I won't buy this unless I can use clippers. Has anyone used clippers on the ends of their hair and had good results?

Yeah I saw that too, but Im scared to use clippers that we use for my sons hair cuts. I prefer to use shears with mines and I get straight even bangs and trims with shears. Been using it for about 4 months now after my relaxers.
