Has anyone here had them? How long do they last? Are they damaging? Would they be a way to get you through a long relaxer stretch for a few weeks?

Answers and experiences appreciated.

After a while, those clips will weaken your hair. They weakened my hair until the hair broke off. I even made my own, and the same thing happened.

They were cute though! Nobody could tell that I was wearing clips! I always had APL_MBL hair, so I was using them for fullness, not length.

I use them every once in a while, like once every 2 months, I made mine. If you use them try to vary the areas on your roots that you place them. You may want to oil the comb before placing them in your hair too, like you would do with wig clips..

I'm wearin clip-ins now actually. Had them for a few months now but I wear them on & off, sleep with them in if I'm lazy but I like the versatility of taking them out whenever to wear my hair & wash/d.c

I bought the Design Lengths Clip-In 18" Remy Wavy Extension from Sally's BSS. The quality is great. Lost a lot of the wave tho, which was partly my fault from washing & using the curling iron.

I havent any more damage than I usually would have -___-

As far as stretching relaxers, I'm not sure. But I think a sew in might be a better choice

Is that the clips-in in your siggy?

I wore the clip in weave on special occasions and never had any problems.

Here is a thread where I posted my pics and I think I put the instrucitons in there also. At the time my hair was just about SL.

You just have to be careful about the way you put them in and take them out. The only time it got tangled in my hair is if I put them in too close together (one row too close to another) or if I slept in them is when I had a problem. I would still use them now even though I haven't in a while.

I had a friend who wore them for years. She said they did a number on her hair.

I own a clip on bang I got from Sally's but I only use it occasionally.

I wear clip-ins every once in a blue moon, maybe 2 or 3 tracks in the back for length....take them out nightly (usually in the car on the way home from where ever I was going lol).
I just buy whatever hair from the BSS, measure/cut the tracks myself then put wig clips on them.
Never had any damage, but I wouldnt suggest them for any sort of stretching session, its not the most comfortable or secure extension method.

Why not make a wig? Here's the video I used to make mine. I have clips in at the top like she suggests but nothing at the back. I plan to make another one using kinky curly hair and I am going to pin it in which should put even less stress on my hair. I have my hair braided back so it looks really flat.

Sooooo this really makes me want to go check these thing out :).
How often do u wear them?

Thanks! I wear them almost everyday at the moment. Put them in in the morn and take them out at night. Then if I'll give my hair a break for a few days.

@Caychica thanks for the pic. Your hair looks FAB! What length and color is that?

Thanks :) It's 18" black
