Are CD\'s products too heavy for fine hair?

I'm lemming some of that Mimosa Hair Honey..I hear it smells really good. Also, are her products safe to use on color treated, relaxed hair?? Does she have anything else that's good?

Thanks!!

I think you should be fine using CD products on your relaxed or color treated hair. Just use her pomades sparingly, a little goes a long way.

I agree...a little goes a long way. I stopped using the HHB b/c it began to build up in my hair (granted, this did take over 6 months to happen and I loved the results in between). I now use Hair Milk and pretty sparingly. It works well.

Do you clarify? If so, even though it did take a while, it still began to build up?

RushGirl - Yes, I was clarifying. I stopped using it and now my hair is better. It just seemed to be making my hair hard and I didn't like that.

I wouldn't like that either! When I do get it.. when my bank account recovers from my PJ problem..lol.. I will probably only need a little bit and I probably wouldn't use it everyday.. When you bought this.. did you start off with the small sizes or just went ahead and got the big one?

Re: Are CD\'s products too heavy for fine hair?

I bought the small size first...and I wasn't using it every day...just every time I washed (every 3 days). Once in a while, I'd use some in the mornings but not regularly. I hope it works for you. I am sure I'll be using it again at some point though - maybe once I'm all natural.

I use the HHB on my daughter's fine hair only when I need to slick it back in between relaxer. I have to make sure I don't use too much because it is very heavy. I works great for helping stretch relaxers out.

Thanks dontspeakdefeat.. Your hair is looking good!! You're daughter has pretty hair too!! I just got mine all chopped off..it's about where yours..that picture in May 2003.. it was grazing my shoulders before..but it was really uneven.. so I had her even everything all out.. so I can start from scratch.. hopefully, if it's possible.. I'd like it to be at my bra strap by this time next year..

I experienced the same but it took about 2 months and I have fine hair. I did love CDHB...oh well

Miosy - HHB was the key to my regimen! Luckily, at this point in my transitioning, I've found that Hair Milk works well, too but in a different way.
