HIT: Nexxus Therappe Moisturizing shampoo

On the fence: Silicon Mix Bambu...I don't want to knock this conditioner, but IMO it's not as good as the original...but it's still pretty good

Yea, this was a HUGE miss for me too. It just coated my hair. I don't know if you've tried it, but Tresemme Naturals Nourishing Moisture Conditioner is really good conditioner for co-washing (if that's what you were using the Suave for)

Haha not only i tried it, i own it, I love it! hmmm we might be hair twins.

I love me some tresemme, esp for co washing. I was using suave for co washing was so disappointed.

I had a great month -

Hits: Aussie Moist 3 Minute Miracle, HE LTR Leave-In, Argan Oil
Misses: Proclaim Setting Lotion (used at the beauty college...I never allowed them to use it again, let my hair hard and dry)

Hits:

deep conditioning: wow. i never thought i'd be a dc convert. :giggle: but, i was bored and decided to treat myself today. so i shampood my hair (after 1.5 weeks of cowashing) and then i applied to dc to my hair in sections. then i detangled with a brush and put the little sections in braids. omg, yal, when i rinsed the dc out my hair was soft, springy, had great slip, and no tangles! it was amazing. i've finally seen the light. so from now on, i will try to dc once a week, and i am on a journey to find my staple dc.

washing in braids: omg. freakin amazing! i rinsed out my dc while in the same braids, and when i took them down to blowdry, my hair was still detangle. the only thing i didn't like is that it took me a while longer to rinse all the dc out, because i did not want to unbraid my hair and risk it tangling. but still, washing in braided sections is gonna make wash days so easy. i think i'm finally becoming a real lhcf'er, by choice! cool beans! ♥

Misses:

Denman Ripoff Brushes: now, don't get me wrong, i do like my brush, just not on my coily hair. i was detangling with this earlier today and while it got the job done, there was one thing that has made me put it on my miss list. when i was detangling, i hit a snag, and it was a little tangly knot, and my hair got caught on the brush. its because of those little bulbs on the end of the bristles. so basically the knot got stuck below the little bulb and i couldn't get the brush off of my hair! i had to rip that one little tangle, and that was enough for me to know i need a REAL denman so i won't have to repeat that.

IC Fantasia Hair Polisher Heat Protecter Straightening Serum: me no likey. it did nothing at all for my hair. it was so freakin thin; i should've know then that it wasn't gonna do crap. it didn't make my hair shine at all, and it did nothing to aid against humidity. the only perks were the cherry scent :lick: and it made my hair incredibly soft, at the moment anyway. i won't revisit this product. i have a whole bottle of this junk, since i just used a little. i will just give it away to someone.

I wish I'd read this thread before I went out and bought this last week! It does smell nice but I didn't get the feeling that my hair was really protected from the heat. I'm going back to my Redken Smoothdown Heat Glide.

A BIG OLE' MISS
Dominican blowouts!. I went to get one on wednesday. I wanted a trim b/c I trimmed my hair myself on sunday but I didn't do a good job so I went to get one on wednesday. In all including what I trimmed off also is two inches but that is not the problem, it's the split ends that I got from the blowout. She cut my end and used heat on them right after trimming them. Since thursday, I have been cutting so much split ends. Never again!
