Can someone please tell me the price of it? It seems that alot of people use it at home, even though on the sites itsays for professional use. So can I buy it at Sally's, even though, I am not a stylist?

If you're talking about the brown liquid reconstructor stuff that dries hard while using heat, I've purchased it at Sally's. I THINK it's $8-$10 for a small bottle, maybe 4-6 oz. Don't hold me to that though. lol

Thanks for replying. I am talking about the Aphogee Damage Treatment, if that's it? But I'm glad to know it is available to use at home.

This is the product I'm talking about. I guess it's the one you're referring to. It says 1 oz. though.

Yeah that is what I am talking about? Do you know the price of the full size. I am about to go to school and I figure I should get it while I have the money.

Thanks! I bought it today and I paid $19.99 for it and got the moisturizer and shampoo free. I couldn't believe that they were giving away 2 products for free. But anyway I got the last one on the shelf, most of the products that were on sale were gone so I was lucky. I think I will wait 2 weeks after I retouch to try it out. This was a good deal that Sally's had. But I can't wait to go back to brooklyn because things are way cheaper there than in CT. Also in this part of CT, Sally's is one of about 2 bss with black hair care products and at a reasonable price. But I still know that NY will have most of the things I bought today cheaper but I couldn't wait

. At this Sally's they didn't even have the Elasta QP Mango butter that I wanted to try. The person at the store said they couldn't keep that in the store because they don't have room, but if I pre-pay they will order it. I told her I'll wait to I go back to NY.

I haven't tried it yet and had questions about that. But alot of people on the forum seem to use it. The person at the bss said to make sure you don't manipulate your hair in anyway because she knows a girl that touched/pulled at her hair and part of it broke off. I guess it gets that hard. I think if you follow the directions you should be fine. Remember they also say that relaxers should be done by pros and many of us have master that. Just be careful. Hopefully someone who has used it can lend some advice.

good luck with this stuff. be prepared to use your own BEST moisturizing conditioner after theirs because it doesn't give as much as i think it should.

let us know how it goes...

I would like to use an aphogee treatment. Any advice on how to "arrange" your hair to let it dry?
Like, should you let it hang straight back, or section it off. I'm transitioning so I have some relaxed hair, and about 4 inches of natural hair, so I like to avoid tangles when applying conditioners.

I use aphogee treatment on my hair two weeks after i relax it. this is what i'll do: wash hair with aphogee shampoo, then apply the treatment i sit under the dryer until my hair gets hard (and it does get HARD), after that I will wet it to soften up and then apply the balancing moisturizer(by aphogee) you must use this balancing moisturizer because this is how your hair is going to get back soft and then you rinse it out. after that i will apply the aphogee reconstructer for 2 min. then rinse it out. then i will apply the leave-on conditioner by aphogee. i use all the aphogee products when i apply this treatment because if you read the back it will tell you product to use after each step. i bought all products because i didn't want to be lacking on any thing and also walking around with my hair looking crazy!!! I'm getting good results my hair does not break at all every since i've been using these products. it's really good for damaged hair, and hair that's thinning. i used the reconstructor after i take my braids out and will leave it in for 5 min. i'm currently growing my hair back out from my tapered cut so i keep it braided. my hair is to the bottom of my earlobes now!! i remember when i first got my hair cut i didn't have any hair it was all chopped off and above my ear with the back shaved. i started wearing the micros back in february i wanted to wear something that will keep me from meddling my hair. i got micros (i wore my hair like this when i went to korea to visit my husband) it was easy to maintain the whole two in a half weeks i was there. then i took the micros out in april washed, deep conditioned, and etc. got cornrows put in until May. in May i got the micros put back in and wore those because i didn't want to meddle my hair (and besides my husband came home for his 30 days midtour from korea. he just left to go back on the 15th, but he'll be back home for good october yes! i can't wait!!!) so i was definitely not doing hair. i just took the micros out on yesterday because i didn't like the way they started looking my new growth was coming in thick and my parts were spaced out (i always wore mini micros with small parts). so i deep conditioned my hair on yesterday and applied the treatment on it and balancing moisturizer. then i used the reconstructer and left on for like five min. tomorrow i will be getting my hair in twists with the kankelon hair going up into a bun. it's going to be cute i wore it like that last year!!! everyone love that style. Good Luck with the Aphogee make sure you read the directions and please don't use it until you get the balance moisturizer if you don't know how it look go to the aphogee website.

Do I really need the reconstructor and the leave in? I have infusium leave in. But should I get the Aphogee reconstructor I didn't get it because it was sold out but I can wait to do the treatment if it is necessary.

yes you should get the reconstructor its used to reconstruct damage hair and rebuild it back. the product you really need to get is the balance moisturizer that's what you're going to use after you apply the treatment and get ready to wash it out. this is how it works you apply the treatment and sit under dryer until your hair gets hard and then after that you rinse it out you know just to soften it alittle then put the balance moisturizer on by aphogee. if you want to use the two minute reconstructor you can. i know i use all the aphogee products since its used by professionals and i don't want to mess up my hair so use all the products just to be on the safe side. all the products are good. it's just i want you to use the balance moisture to rinse that treatment out. so just go back to sally's and ask them for the balance moisturizer by aphogee.

good luck once again. pm me to let me know how everything goes

It was $19.99 for the 16oz bottle and I got the shampoo and the moisturizer free. I'll try to get the reconstructor since I don't plan on doing it until after I retouch. But the Sally's I went to was out of it. Is Aphogee sold in other bss'?

I'm sorry I really couldn't tell you. Sally's is the only beauty supply store I go too. I get a military discount in that store. You could just search around and see if it's offered anywhere else. If not you could just order it on-line.

Ladies,

If you would like to purchase Aphogee hair products, or any other hair cair products, but you can't locate them at the beauty supply shop--go to METROBEAUTY.com

This site carries tons of products and the prices are reasonable!

Ladies --

I just tried my little packet of Aphogee Treatment for Damaged Hair. Good grief - that stuff smells disugusting!! I couldnt wait for it to dry so I could wash it out... I'm conditioning right now with some Nexxus Humectress and the Aphogee Balancing Moisturizer under a little plastic cap. So far, I havent seen any hair come out. Maybe this just might work to stop my breakage... I'll let you guys know!

Last time I did a touchup I waited 2 weeks before I gave myself and Aphogee treatment. Do you think I can get away with doing it sooner?

I have to add to this thread and say that, I love Aphogee Treatment for Damaged hair.

Amazing how it just stops my hair from breaking after one application.

Thank you, everyone, for the information re: Aphogee Treatment for Damaged Hair.

I have been very reticent to try it, due to the fact that it does make the hair so very hard.

I now know how important it is to follow the instructions EXACTLY as specified, for the best results.
