Can the treatment really only be done in a salon? Is there anyone that uses this at home cause I read on the bottle that the protein makes the hair hard, and should only be done by a professional. I'm not sure what to do, I don't want to damage my hair more than it already is.
Well instead of using that treatment, why don't you just try the Aphogee intensive two minute keratin reconstructor. And when you learn about the other one then you use it.
Protein will only make your hair hard if you use it too often. I use Aphogee once a month and it works wonders on my hair. The reason they put that warning on the back is to protect themselves legally....they all do it.
That particular aphoghee treatment is designed to get hard while on your hair. Once you rinse it out, you will need to use a GOOD moisturizing conditioner. You do not need to be a professional to buy or use it. However, you MUST follow the directions given on the bottle. If your hair is not severely damaged, you do not need to use that product. A less intensive reconstructor will suffice.
As CC said, follow the directions on the back, they also advise you to follow up the treatment with the balancing moisturizer, please DO SO and than you can follow that with a good moisturizing conditioner
