I tried this protein treatment yesterday and it burned so I had to rinse it out immediately. Has this ever happened to anyone else? I used it a while ago and I don't remember this happening.

Wow, this hasn't happened to me but I'll tell you what, that Emergencee, after I FINALLY tracked some down, broke my hair unbelievably! I'll trade you the rest of my Emergencee for your Aphogee...*winkwink* Um, unless it's unbelievably old or something...*blank stare*

that has never happened to me...

Sorry it burned you...where you scratching your scalp? When was your last relaxer?

I just did a protien treatment the other day using Aphogee...teh first time i used it i wasnt too pleased...but I left it on longer and it actually worked...

My last relaxer was 3/18 was this too soon to do a protein treatment?

Leshia I was gonna try to take it back to the store, but if they don't take it back you can have it!!!

Wow, I want to know too. I"m sorry about that, girl. But I"m worried too because I bought this small pack of Aphogee treatment and wanted to use it tomorrow. My last relaxer was 3/17. I wanted to ask just that question, if it is too early to use it. The reason I bought it is because I've had some shedding. The whole strand of hair came out. I have to be happy that I'm not getting NEARLY as much breakage as I used to get before, because I now try to keep my hair moisturize *6 hairs tops* but I still want to know if I should use the APHOGEE treatment for this reason and if it is the right time. Thanks!

I wanted to use the Aphogee treatment too, but I was too scared. It seems like it is a really hardcore treatment and I thought I could find something a little less intimidating. I finally bought the Motions Protein Reconstructor last weekend and it did a good job on my hair. I noticed that only a couple of strands of hair came out when I rinsed the Reconstructor out and I was pleased. I don't have any breakage at this point, but I will continue to do a protein treatment once a month to keep it away. I always follow with a moisturizing conditoner like Motions CPR or Biolage Conditioning Balm.

I'm so sorry that this happened to you. How is your scalp doing now?

I believe that the correct time to use and Aphogee Treatment is every six weeks, this includes after you get a perm or six weeks before. :) HTH

I used the APHOGEE treatment today. I"m not sure which one it is. I bought a $1.79 small pack. It says that it stops breakage for 6 weeks, so I don't know if that makes it the hardcore protein. Either way, IT STINKS!!!!! My gosh! I took a sniff at it and I almost passed out. I did put it in my hair though and followed directions, then I put my regular conditioner in afterwards but I didnt leave it as long as I would have liked. When I finished, my hair still smelled a little like the Aphogee, so I tried rinsing it again with a conditioner, but I still think the smell is a little there. Maybe I'm being a bit paranoid, I don't know. I was like "this stuff better work, if i gotta put this stinky thing in my hair!" When will the smell go away??

ive only used aphogee treatment once and i avoided getting this stuff on my scalp because it smelled like it would irritate it. i liked how the aphogee treatment left my hair soft after i washed it out.

Did you take it back yet???!

im sitting under the dryer right now with it in.

it burned my scalp a bit too when i put it in, but its because i scratches it while washing. aphogee should be treated like a relaxer, try to avoid getting any on your scalp and DO NOT SCRATCH OR IRRITATE the scalp befoe applying.

the *burning* will go away after a minute or two if you left it on, but it really is a good protein IMO.

after using this product i can instantly feel more softness and see less(if any) breakage.

I've felt the burning sensation also but nothing bad has happened to my hair. I'm not sure why the stuff will sometimes give that feeling. :ohwell:
