so let's just say i had momentary amnesia and for some reason thought you put the two step on dry hair...do i have to do it again on damp hair or is the protein still gonna take to my hair regardless?

The protein is going to take on your hair regardless. It sounds like you already did it, so you dont need to do the procedure again. If you feel the hair should be wet, put some water on your hair now (just dont overly manipulate the hair) to ensure all the strands haved recieved the treatment, then go about the rest of the treatment steps.

The reason why it is normally done on wet instead of dry hair is because it is easier to apply and you use less, in my opinion. When ever I use conditioner on dry hair I use more, think about it like this a sponge that is wet will absorb less water than one that is dry.

It may not be as effective as on wet hair but as long as you have applied heat it may work some- i hope this works out ok for you
