cut it all off for a nice Halle Berry cut like these? I am on the verge of booking an appointment within the next couple of weeks.

Oooh, she does look fabulous. I just LOVE Halle with that short do, its stunning on her............

However, not for The Kid. :lachen: I love my lil' tresses too much, and besides, im too much of a coward to ever go that route. :ohwell:

I've always loved Halle's pixie, but it looks like a lot of upkeep. 1 inch of new growth is half of your total length. Seems like you'd have to touch-up every five minutes otherwise you've just got a twa.

I think short hair would look very becoming on you.

I did, I cut off my hair and had that hair cut.
It cost me more to keep that hair cut then it did to have long hair.

I don´t think it´s for me.The longer my hair get´s the easier it is for me to handle.Wierd isn´t it?!
Just think your deciscion through and then do what feels best for YOU:)

i had my hair cut short like that for 8 or more years. I am trying to enjoy my hair longer now. It is much easier and cheaper IMO to keep your hair longer. When it is short like that you have to go the beauty shop every week and I was relaxing every month to keep the beady beeds in the back straight. When it's long I can just throw a bun on it when I don't want to be bothered.:D

I've actually gone from bsl hair to the "halle type" cut. Now I'm just remembering how much I loved it. It wasn't that hard for me to keep up because I did it myself most of the time, I just went to the salon for a shape up and relaxer.
Here's a pic of when my hair was short.

When I was relaxed, i cut my bs length hair off for a Halle do!

I luv'd my cut, but it was very time consuming trying to curl it daily...
it was farrrr to much work than I had expected!

She looks fab but like the other ladies are saying, it's too much maintenance. I had a short cut in 11th grade due to damage. It wasn't quite that short but I had to go to the salon EVERY week. Same thing with my mom who kept a short cut for years. I wasn't feeling that. Short hair is too much maintenance.

Lately I have been having that itch to cut my hair off to just the ng (about 6 inches) which would be about earlength. I want that cute curly look thats right about the neck or the halle berry look. I will probably just get a short wig and rock it for a while b4 I make my final decision.

I love those styles!! I love short hair too but I'm on a quest to see just what my hair will do if I give it a chance!

Funny, I feel just the opposite, I think longer hair is a LOT more work!

It might be in my future though...the d-i-s-t-a-n-t future!

Been there, done that, got the t-shirt. Those hair styles are fun and look great! But I think I am finally over my scissor addiction. I did not have to curl my hair every day. If you have a great cut, you should not have to use heat every day.

I say go for it! There is only 1 problem, if you try to let grow out again. Getting past the ear is a pain and you may go through some very unflattering styles.

I love that style, however. I couldn't deal with that akward growing it out stage. You know, the "mushroom" hair style:ohwell: Get your self some Tara hair and make a wig. I did that and it ended my short hair craving.

If I had the head for it...my head has always been too big for cute short cuts. When my hair was short, the cuts just never looked great on me.

Had it (slightly longer), loved it and do agree that it is more work! I learned how to enjoy it and grow it out gracefully too. But I do think Halle looks sooo much better with that cut than she does with long hair any day of the week!

Girl u are so right. That was my nightmare..that growing out phase trying to reach ear and there was nothing u could do with it. I looked like a shaggy dog. Then when I use to go to the salon I'd come back out with a haircut again having to start all over.

When I was relaxed, I actually wore my hair a little longer than that for a few years, but it was not much maintenance. It was easy to care for as I wore it spiky. In the morning, I'd just fluff my bed hair, put a little gel or mousse in some parts and I was good to go. Occasionally I would use a curling iron. And washing my hair was soooooooo easy.

Would I cut my hair that short now? Natural hair is a different ballgame. I am not presently feeling like rocking twa, though I have after my BC. I don't know, I'd have to have at least 2 or 3 inches of hair to enjoy some style versatility.

Last summer I cut my shoulder length hair that short. I loved it and wore it spikey, until a stylist overprocessed it and put permanant color in it, ruining my hair. It was really cute, but a lot of work because I wind up hot curling it almost every morning.

I did this in the early 90's. I kept it for 9 years b/c everytime I wanted to grown it out I would get frustrated with how awlful it looked during the in-between stages and would just cut it again. And to think of the unhealthy things I did to my hair then...bleaching it blonde with a relaxer every 3-4 weeks. The weekly maintenance cost me a fortune. I can do more with long hair.:)
