Anyone use the Denman D1?

Seeng as my hair just eats through the D3, D4, and I cannot get my hands on the D14, I bought the D1 yesterday for pretty cheap. This doesn't have the rubber base, but has the same plastic seam free bristles/teeth, a bit closer together, but has a plastic base also. I'm sure the base will not get ribbed/rip like my D4, but it does force me to detangle in smaller sections.
Still its lack of flexibility in the bristles might cause me some breakage???
Anyone else have this?

Hi Aviah,

I only use the D83 because my hair's thick and I only wash in four big sections.. But, I don't see why the D1 would cause breakage, even if the handle isn't as pliable.
