Does it soften hair and leave it moisturized? I'm thinking about buying Tropical Traditions Coconut Cream. If you guys have any experience with them or any cheaper recommendations please, chime in .

I used some in my Rhassoul treatment. I really liked it. I plan on getting tons more (the blocks of CC you get at the WI store.
I haven't tried it by myself but my hair was really soft after my Rhassoul treatment!

i have mixed it with rhassoul or added to conditioner. I use the coconut powder and mix it with water. I like this better because I have found that the "cream" and "milk" sometimes have little coconut bits in it, that are HELL to get out once your rinse. LOVE IT!

I just mixed about up a big batch of DC with coconut cream in it. How are ya'll storing any leftover coconut cream? Or do you have any leftover? How do you store the coconut cream after it is opened?

I did a search,on google, but wasn't finding anything on google

I keep mine in a tupperware in the fridge. There's some honey in it so it's been keeping very well. :yep:

Unfortunately, everytime I smell it I want to eat it. :look:

I had the one in a can and mixed it with my anita grant rhassoul treatment. I used the whole can.

I have some solid coconut cream that came in a bar form and I'm going play with that with the next rhassoul.

thanks for responding. i just got done with my TST. But umm does the honey incresase the "shelf life" if so I will add some to my mix. I will put my DC in the fridge now and await soem responses.

I'm going to try this with real coconut; scoop out the flesh and process down to a fine texture. Might mix with yoghurt and honey.

Honey is a natural preservative and antibacterial agent - so it can increase the shelf life of things quite a bit. Luckily it's also a humectant, so it's good for your hair too. :yep:

ETA: my coconut cream came in a carton like almond milk. It was thicker and creamier than the coconut milk, but not completely solid. It just moved really slow.

I did see the powder avail also, I may try that next and use it as a thickener for other DCS

I will be adding honey to my mix because the DC i used was so drying. I also want to add some coconut milk in there too. The coconut cream really defined my coils. I love coconut cream!

I love coconut cream, I get mine from tropical traditions, it is seriously makes the best conditioner I have ever used mixed with AO honeysuckle rose, makes my hair looser and more manageable
