anyone use BLACK SOAP to wash their hair?

I just started to do this. I only use it to clean my scalp though, not the length of my hair. Its a tad bit drying.

Years later, currently 2 years into a transition back to natural and I'm still a black soap fan for washing my hair.

I tried it (several kinds an brands) it made my hair squeaky clean yet coated and clumpy .

Is this safe to use weekly? Is it used to clarify?

Nah. I tried it but leave my hair stringy. I'll stick to using it for my face.

I haven't used black soap in a minute!
I've a whole jar in the bathroom
I like black soap for hair
But if you've got the real raw soap
You know about the sharp nut chunks
Gets all that build up out of my hair
I barely wash monthly
