Ahhh yes, this was my baby daddy for so long. I used it for everything. DC, co wash, leave in. It was good to me. And then my hair started being crunchy and dry and breaking. I believe it was due to excessive use and I had build up.

I love the slip this conditioner gives me and I love the softness, but I won't be using it again. Where I order from the shipping is almost equal to the price of the product. I want something local.

i liked the powdery smell of this conditioner but it did not deliver in the slip department like so many had raved about. it also was not multi functional which is a deal breaker for me.

I've used it a couple times, mostly recently before I flat ironed. I deep conditioned with it over night and it left my hair extremely soft and easier to iron. My roots were flat as paper though.

When your hair is really dry and in need of extreme moisture, Silicon Mix is your conditioner. I can only use it every once in a while though. I do like the Bambu Silicon Mix. I think everyone needs this in their stash. It does have cones though for those who don't like cones.

*squinty eyes* you must be new...

lol yes silicon mix was good to me in my relaxed days. i didnt have an issue with the mineral oil because i felt like it created a barrier around my strands to hold me over til my next wash day. now that im natural, i use it as a cheap base for my homemade garlic scalp treatments. i cowash too often for it to really be protective now. but its still good stuff. and $6 for the small jar at my BSS

welcome! enjoy LHCF :)

Girl this stuff gave my hair the best slip this side of the pecos river! My hair likes protein and this was great for me. Now that I am transitioning I don't know if it will feel the same since I haven't tried it in the last yr or so, I've been living in twists and braids for the past few months, but I will def try it again soon.

Silicon mix is a great conditioner. I've used it for about three years now. I make sure to shampoo when using it to get the mineral oil and silicone out of my hair to avoid build up. But yea, gives me very soft, moisturized hair. :-)

I wish I liked this conditioner. I really do. Unfortunately, I HAAAAAATE this conditioner with a PASSION! It's strange because Dominican products normally work very well for me. For some reason, Silicon Mix doesn't offer me any moisture and tangles my hair. Something about it just doesn't work.

I like it, but I find it comparable to any other dominican conditioner, meaning there are others with better ingredients that perform the same, if that matters to you.

i've been meaning to try the silicon mix bambu leave in. i've heard good things about it

This did my hair well when I was relaxed but that smell was killa!! Like being bombarded by 50 elderly women all wearing White Diamonds :barf:

I personally don't prepoo with it. I just use it as a normal conditioner after shampooing. I shampoo every wash day then use silicon mix vs cowashing with silicon mix only. This ensures my hair will not have build up from the silicon or mineral oil while using the product over time.

There's definitely other deep conditioners that are far more better than this one. For example, macadamia natural oil repair masque is pretty awesome and Crecepelo Dominican conditioner is the business. My hair feels soft, strong and moisturized after using either one of these two products. I find that Silicon mix is okay, but leaves the hair feeling a little scrunchy. I'm a natural by the way.
