anyone tried an ION straightening iron?

i went to my local beauty supply store today to buy a straightening iron and blow dryer. i am trying for the first time to learn to do my hair at home. the people their recommended a straightening iron and blow dyer by ION. i was wondering if anyone has tried it and if it worked well for them.

I purchased the ion iron last year and about 6 months lateer I had to get me a chi. I did not like the ion better than the chi and it was only $17 dollars chaper. I gave it away because my hair kept getting cought in the combs! It's a good iron, however it is not the best iron out there! I'd save my money to get a chi or maxi glide because the ion just isn't worth the money! Good luck with yours!
