Hey y'all,

I can't seem to get my hair straight with this store-bought flat iron, so I'm wondering if people are still pleased with their Maxiglides? I bought one, liked it, but returned it.

Hi Sunshinelady

Why did you return it?

I don't have one by the way:look:, but really really considered it at one time. But since my pressed hair reverted so quickly, I never to the $$ plunge to get one.

Mine still works miracles. I'm not into using heat much anymore so I don't use it much only for that reason. If you want silky bone straight hair all the way to the ends then maxi is the way to go. It's the only iron that has gotten my ends pin straight!

I've had mine for close to 2 yrs now and mind you, I don't straighten my hair often at all. But, the ceramic coating is chipping off the plates and it's damn near broken(but I think It's cuz it was dropped too many times). Anyway, my hair always reverted pretty quickly even when it was not humid out. So, I think if i do purchase another flat iron I won't get the maxiglide.

yes, and I love it it is the only thing that will straighten my hair, and I am a natural.

Siggy is results of the maxiglide.

I use mine and i can't live without it. My hair MUST have them teef to get my hair straight. I have a SEDU sitting here collecting dust and laughing at me because it does nothing for my hair.

I use it on my dd's hair but it's too bulky for me to use on mine. I can't handle it too well especially for the back of my head. It does give up silky blow in the wind hair though.

u hooooooo: over here: i like it and love it: i find it to be real safe for my hair. had it for about :ohwell: 6 months and i still love it.

I do, whenever I want straight results and I'm feeling patient. I like the teeth, they really help me to take my time and get results.

I just finished using it for the 2nd time and I love it. My hair is thick, bouncy, and the ends are pin straight with one swipe. I'm natural so I use it on about 5 (heat setting) and it's more than enough heat.
It is hard to get at the roots with it, but I'm getting the hang of it.

cosigning. Mine is in the trash.

I have mine and still use it every 6 wks or so, since I'm trying to cut back on flat iron heat. It works great though! ;-)

I loved mine the first time I used it, but I'm still testing it out. I used it on my niece's hair and it reverted within a couple of hours. :ohwell: I also noticed that it was smoking a lot....not good. At least I still have my fhi runway if the maxiglide does not work out like i thought it would. we'll see....
