I just got this stuff in the mail the other day because of all the hair growth raves about it. No one has grown a sixth toe yet so I figured it was safe.

But I still scurred. I'd like to her from the ladies who refuse to use it and why. Also, are you using another product that promotes rapid hair growth?

I have used it but I don't anymore. I seemed to be wroking but I wasn't really that sure when it came down to it. My hair grows more than 6 inches a year so I wasn't sure if it was the MTG or just me. Anyway, I stopped using it because I have an oily scalp so I didn't need any help with the oil. My hair seems to be doing just as well as with the MTG without the smell or the oil.

Nope. I refuse to use it. I have an extremely sensitive scalp, and don't want to even risk having an allergic reaction.

Rapid growth isn't important to me, so I don't use a specific product for it. I just drink a lot of water, take care of my hair, and take a multi-vitamin.

I just don't think I need it, I use my other methods and my growth has been good enough for me.....and anything that smells that bad does not belong in my hair. JMHO :)

I refuse to use it because I don't use things that:
a) make me smell bad
b) do bad things to my skin

No, I'm not using anything else topical for rapid growth, but I am taking Silica.

I have wanted to try it but have been afraid because my scalp is sensitive also. I think I am going to do the alternative, flowers of sulfur since sulfur is the active ingredient anyway, and just add it to my carrot creme like Honeydew does hers. I will do that for a few weeks to get my scalp use to it and I may gradually increase the sulfur over time. Basically, I want to have control so it isnt everywhere. And I hope it isnt smelly, I dont want my SO kicking me out the bed for being funky.

Add me to the list. It stinks and I don't need that much help with something that works just fine naturally. I prefer smelling nice and so does my man. ;)

I have used it, and I have noticed growth, but I'm doing other things that could be contributing to my growth as well. The last time I used MTG, I "greased" my entire scalp with it (the same way you would with grease). The next morning I had a rash all over my neck. I can't say it was definitely MTG related, but I think it was. I've also started getting random bumps on my face. So I'm thinking that maybe an excess of it will cause problems, and I don't think I have sensitive skin at all. I will probably continue to use it, at least until it runs out, but in moderation (maybe once a week or once every 2 weeks). I don't think I'll buy it again though.

I don't use MTG or any other growth aides, I am way to lazy. I exercise 4-5x a week, drink lots of water and take a muti-vitamin and my hair is doing well.

It does not stink at all. I think I am going to try increasing the sulfur over time, as well. Or at least being more precise in my measurements. I was pouring things into the blender like a mad scientist.

O, I'm so glad to hear that it doesnt stink. I hope it works well for u 2. :)

I am still skeptical. My hair has been growing just from TLC like frequent washing and oiling of my scalp.

I don't use it. As much as I get impatient for my hair to be long again, I won't put stinky, possibly irritating stuff on my hair or scalp. Hair grows. I can wait. I am learning a lot about myself on this journey.

I won't use it. I'm not that concerned with fast growth. I don't even know what my hair goals are yet, but MTG is definitely not going to be part of my regimen.

I'm not a user either. I've never even wanted to use it, but all of the horrid reactions people have had would definitely be a deterrent for me.
Besides that, I'm not into growth aids anyway. I drink water, take a multi-vit workout every other day, and eat right, but those things are more for general health than anything else...I consider it a bonus that those things encourage growth.

I don't use it and never will. I don't believe it grows your hair faster and I haven't been impressed with any of the results I've seen. Not to mention the complaints of smell, rashes etc.

I exercise, eat well and stick to my regimen.

I refuse to use MTG. For one I've heard all the mess about how it stinks! EWW! I will NOT put stinky products in my hair!

Also, I will not use anything that will cause my hair to grow fast except vitamins. I refuse to put any kind of potion on my scalp that causes faster hair growth because I don't want any adverse effects (rashes and things like that) sooo I will just stick with my vitamins, exercising, protective styling, and frequent washing!

Last I wouldn't be consistant even if I tried. Especially with having to part my hair and apply it to the scalp...NO WAY...I know for a FACT I would fall off the wagon within a week or two...yea I know...I'm lazy....

Oh yea and one more reason...I've heard that it makes the hair thicker and less manageable...and I really don't want to deal with that because I have TOO much hair as it is!

I don't use it now and won't use it. I'm skeptical for one and don't want to use anything that could have ill side effects. Also, I'm just letting my growth come on it's own, with no inducing on my behalf. :)

After the reactions some of the other members have had, I NOT going to try it. I have had various scalp conditions in the past, and will not risk a flare up. I believe there are other more natural things that can contribute to healthy hair growth.

I am happy for the ladies who've had success with it. I won't be using it though. I don't need a magic growth potion. Healthy hair comes from within :ohwell:
Plus, I'm much to cute to be walkin' around stinkin' :(

I feel the same way, girl! I just cannot see myself walking around smelling like that. I did try it one or two days and I could not stand it!!!! I threw out that sample size jar of it quickly! I can still smell wiffs of it under my sink where I use to store it.

well i haven't jumped on the bandwagon yet because i'm really not interested in my hair growing FAST. I'm more interested in retaining my growth and i just want it ot be healthy so i take daily vites and drink water and try to eat healthy. Although i am starting to feel like my dry hair could use the help in the 'strength' and 'thickness' dept...so i may consider using it someday.

I get curious about it every now and again when someone posts their results, but putting something stinky in my hair and the allergic reactions are what keep me on this side of the fence! I smell everything... and I do mean EVERYTHING before I put it on my hair!

I won't be on the bandwagon, either. I got a whiff of it at the pet store and wanted to hurl on site. :barf: I don't think there's enough essential oil, cinammon sticks, potpourri, tic tacs........nothing that could mask the smell well enough for me to ever use it.

This is all very surprising to me- I thought "everyone and their mama "was using MTG. I am happy to know that I'm not the only one who thinks theres a catch to the MTG craze...

I tried it for 2 days. It was too stinky. It was also too heavy. I like my hair to blow in the wind, not be weighed down.

I don't really think there is a catch. Sulfur has proven to help hair growth and there are many sites to hit on the net talking about it. But, there are so many ways to give the scalp nutrients and minerals that I cannot see how someone could stand smelling like MTG and dealing with heavy oily hair.

But, I agree with you, it is nice to know that there are others out here that don't need the magic MTG to reach their hair goals. I just can't get down with that stuff.
