Anyone sensitive to color rinses around here?

I got my mom a red rinse for mother's day at the dominican salon. She just told me that her head has been itching like crazy since then. Anyone else with this problem? If so, is her only option to wash it all out? I'm washing her hair tomorrow night anyway whether she likes it or not (she's not an LHCF member so she only gets her hair washed when she goes to the salon). I'm also not too sure about the itching part...she wants me to scratch her scalp but I don't see that being a solution. What can I do to remedy it without giving in to her request?

Just wash it. Any remaining residue can irriate the scalp, especially since color rinses have a higher pH than the scalp. You might even try an AVC rinse right after shampooing, letting it sit on her scalp for a minute before proceeding with conditioning

YESSS! i thought this would work. i just told her and she said "i'm not ready to wash my hair" but once i told her it would remove the itch she obliged.
