I was at church on Sunday and I noticed that all of the white ladies had really long hair; however, the black ladies had short hair or it was kind of broken off in places. Some even wear wigs and don't even have a hair line. I mean completely bald on the sides or just 1 inch of hair. Or just totally see thru ends and really thin hair. That is really sad b/c your hair is your crown of glory. I'm just blessed enough to have super thick hair that is very resiliant. However, there are a few black ladies that have shoulder length hair and it isn't broken off. I attend a pentecostal church and I've been going there for 3 years now. I haven't had my hair trimmed since then and it is only shoulderlength in the back and the next layer is necklength. I want to grow out, but I don't know if that will be possible with a press and curl and heat styling. I know Cathy House has been able to achieve really long hair without any trims in 7 or 10 years, but I was just wandering if anyone else has done this. My hair is really thick, but it just seems like my hair should longer than what it is right now. Aaaagh, it was just something that had been on my mind for a while. If anyone has any suggestions on how to achieve length without trimming split ends please let me know. I would like for all of my hair to be shoulder length by next year, but it seems like it may take another 2 years. Thanks for any responses.
