If the gel gives me the look I want, doesn't flake, doesn't dry me out and my wash n go lasts, I don't mind my hair being mildly "crunchy/ hard."
Anyone else not mind?
I used to feel this way when I thought that having mildly crunchy hair was the only way for me to get the look I wanted.
But I notice that my wash n go's actually are much better when I soften it up with a little Hawaiian silky 14 n 1 and a little oil. It gets the crunch out and my hair is soft and still has definition. I like for my hair to be touchable even though I dont want people touching it. lol
I'm not natural anymore, and even when I was, I didn't do crunch. But as long as you aren't combing or brushing through it, it should be okay for the health of your hair.
The less crunch, the more I touch my hair; the more crunch, the less I touch my hair- I guess that what I prefer is not the best thing for my hair, so I'm ok with crunch...
Today I did TIGI BEDHEAD MOISTURE MANIAC as my leave-in on dripping wet hair and put in a lot of SheaMoisture Curl Smoothie like I would the Eco-styler. My hair is very soft and curly, but more afro-ish and less defined. I'll stick to Eco.
I don't mind crunchy hair. When I have it I don't touch my hair. When I don't have crunchy hair and it looks like my sig picture I cannot keep my hands out of my hair. So my hair benefits if it is a little crunchy.
