It's getting really cold in some places esp. here it will snow in a min. so i just can't indulge in those wonderful CW I've spoiled my hair to love, but I found an alternative misting with a water based products or for me Scurl. Anyone esle doing this?

I do this. I mist my hair once (sometimes twice) a day with African Royale Daily Doctor and water mixture. It works really good for me. I couldn't imagine CW my hair during the winter

I've been misting morning, noon and nite. I have a light mixture of world of curls with a little Wild Growth Oil and Castor Oil mixed in.

I will try this.... I can not do CW's with the cold weather coming... I was feeling sad that I could not... because this helped my hair thrive...

Thanks for the good tip:D

since i have hardwater, i have a mix of filtered water, conditioner, essential oils, and a lil leave in by good old jane....i also have the same mix in a pointy bottle so i can apply to the scalp, u noe gotta keep the scalp nice n moist so my hair will replicate the summer months...GROW HAIR GROW

I'll probably only conditioner wash once per week during these cold months. And I already spritz nightly with water & oil.

I mist too. I can't go out with a cold head. I did that last winter and even though I didn't get a cold, it was just uncomfortable. I use and oil/water/conditioner/glycerin mix.

Yep, I mist my hair each night. In the colder months I reduce my CWs to once per week, and I increase moisturizing to twice per day.

Luckily, I live in San DIego, and it's still 70 degrees here. I'm trying the CW every night right now and doing my final rinse in ICE COLD WATER (boy, does THAT ruin my nice warm shower!!)
But how do you "mist" Is it lightly spraying the hair, saturating, moisturizing, etc?
Could I do it with the Surge Products?
Sorry for being so needy!

I mist my hair in the morning and in the evening. I too have hardwater so I use distilled water mixed with glycerin and rosewater, which works very well. Sometimes I use EOs, I tried using Infusion with the oils but my hair didn't like it, I think the Infusion had too high a protein content for my hair. I used to think that damp hair would lead to a head cold, but the amount of water used in the mist is so small my hair dries quite quickly and is much cleaner. For me misting is the ultimate in moisturising because my hair is well moisturised and the only time I oil my scalp is when I wash my hair. CWs are great but for me are better suited to the summer months.
