I think that there is a way to determine a products shelf life. I do not want to waste money on a product that has been there for a long time or won't work after a while.
For example, I used Keracare itch scalp conditioner, which I had for a year. The conditioner was very thick the last time I went to use it. I end up throwing it out. There are other products I believe I had for a long time that will still work. Of course you know when you are a PJ it causes you to abandon products thus pile up.
I am not sure it this was discuss before but I think that it is important for all of us to know.
