I think that there is a way to determine a products shelf life. I do not want to waste money on a product that has been there for a long time or won't work after a while.

For example, I used Keracare itch scalp conditioner, which I had for a year. The conditioner was very thick the last time I went to use it. I end up throwing it out. There are other products I believe I had for a long time that will still work. Of course you know when you are a PJ it causes you to abandon products thus pile up.

I am not sure it this was discuss before but I think that it is important for all of us to know.

TIA

Expiration dates usually appear as the symbol of a jar with the lid either on or off along with a number preceding the letter M. “A jar with an open lid represents the number of months the product will remain fresh once opened, and a closed lid tells how long the product is good from the date it’s manufactured.” http://www.naturalsolutionsmag.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/center.article/articleID/14641/subTopicID/158/WhenGoodBeautyProductsGo

:yep: though I've seen a LOT of products that have nada written on them, that's when I would do what TashaK suggested.

Thanks, this is vital information for us. We buy all of these products and don't know they are either expired or about to. Someone said to be leary of products when it goes on sale. Arm n hammer is famous for that (they actually say a date on it) and stores will sell it anyway on sale.

This may take us a little longer in the stores but once we get the hang of it we will get products that will do what they were designed to do from the beginning. Okay PJ's its time to clean out our product drawers. The good thing is that you get to buy more :lick:
